Golf Simulators

A Golf Room Worth Playing In

Carl's Place systems installed in rooms designed for them. Screen, projector, launch monitor, and room environment calibrated together.

A golf simulator is not a screen you hang in a basement. It is a calibrated environment — screen, projector, tracking system, lighting, sound, and room geometry — that either produces accurate, satisfying ball flight or it doesn't.

Pure Sight & Sound specializes in Carl's Place golf simulator systems. We design the room alongside the technology, so that what you're playing in is as considered as what you're playing on.

Carl's Place Systems

Carl's Place manufactures golf simulator enclosures, impact screens, and hitting bays used by tour professionals, commercial simulators, and serious home golfers. The screens are designed for accurate ball return and the enclosures provide the containment and playing geometry the system requires.

We work with Carl's Place components as the foundation of every simulator build — specifying the enclosure size, screen type, and hitting bay layout for your specific room and intended use.

What a Well-Built Simulator Room Requires

Room Dimensions A Carl's Place simulator requires a minimum ceiling height, depth, and width to function correctly. Too short a ceiling and club path is compromised. Too little depth and ball flight data is unreliable. We evaluate your space before anything is specified, and we tell you clearly if the dimensions work or don't.

Projector Selection and Placement Projector throw distance, lens geometry, and brightness all affect image quality on the impact screen. A projector specified for a home theater does not necessarily perform well in a simulator room — the screen material, ambient light, and throw requirements are different. We specify and position the projector for this specific application.

Launch Monitor and Tracking Integration The launch monitor measures ball flight data — speed, spin, launch angle, carry distance — and feeds that data to the simulation software. Placement, calibration, and surface type all affect accuracy. We integrate the launch monitor correctly.

Sound System A golf room with good audio — course ambience, crowd noise, shot feedback — is more immersive and more enjoyable for extended sessions. We specify audio that fits the room without overwhelming it.

Lighting Simulator performance is affected by ambient light. We design lighting that provides adequate task illumination without washing out the screen or introducing light that interferes with the tracking system.

Finishing Turf, padding on walls and ceiling, and equipment management that keeps the room looking considered, not improvised. The difference between a simulator room and a simulator room you are proud of is in the details.

New Construction and Retrofit

A purpose-built golf simulator room is easier to build in a new construction project — ceiling height, room dimensions, and infrastructure can all be designed in at the framing stage. We work with builders to specify the room correctly before it is built.

In an existing home, we assess the available space — basement, bonus room, garage — and determine what is achievable. Many existing spaces work well; some require modification. We will give you an honest assessment before any commitment.
